Celebrate City of Water Day – July 12, 2025

In partnership with Waterfront Alliance and the NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary Program, we’re popping up across all five boroughs for a day of shoreline celebrations, estuary science, and climate-ready connection.

18 Years of reconnecting New Yorkers to their shorelines

On Saturday, July 12, Billion Oyster Project is joining communities across New York for City of Water Day 2025, an annual, free, citywide celebration of our shoreline organized by Waterfront Alliance and the NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary Program.

This year’s theme, “Stronger Together: Join Your Neighbors in Creating Climate-Ready Communities,” highlights how local connection and collective action build resilience in the face of climate change.

We’ll be out in full force—from Staten Island to the Bronx, from Jamaica Bay to Governors Island—with hands-on science, oyster education, and shoreline fun. View our lineup below.
