What Students Do

Students review facts from the last 400 years of New York Harbor history and discuss the decisions of people in the past. They make observations and inferences of historical images to create a timeline of changes to consider the impact of those choices on the resources we have today.

Pacing & Logistics

Pacing: 1 class period (~45 min).

Logistics: Make a copy of the lesson plan, slides, and handouts. Print enough handouts for each student. Prepare a Class Question Pool space (poster paper or whiteboard section).
