Event Details

An outdoor program highlighting service to involve students in restoration around the New York Harbor. Students visit our shell pile on Governors Island, starting with a scenic mile-long walk where we discuss BOP along the way.

Upon arriving at the shell pile, students get involved in hands-on work — picking up trash, washing shells, weighing shells, and/or building structures — all depending on what our restoration team needs that day. These experiences are capped at 30 students for safety and engagement.
