THE EXPERIENCE
Teaching Outdoors
New York City, and specifically New York Harbor, is a great place for outdoor learning! Join Billion Oyster Project staff to practice 3 stations for waterfront learning, learn best practices for bringing students into the field, and tips to help you prepare for field teaching.
In this session teachers can expect to:
- Learn best practices for planning and preparing field-based learning experiences
- Explore BOP's outdoor lessons, and consider how they can be used in your classroom and outside
- Connect with other Billion Oyster Project teachers

What to Bring
Weather-appropriate clothes (training is mostly outdoors, rain or shine), a packed lunch (not provided), and your own water bottle.
