Billion Oyster Project Standalone Lessons Workshop

Next Event: 8/17/2026, on Governors Island Join Billion Oyster Project Teaching & Curriculum staff to explore some brand new lessons! Learn more about our standalone lessons, designed as engaging, informative ways to use oysters as an anchoring phenomenon to teach common content in your classrooms. These lessons can be taught individually and can fit into your scope and sequence. ## **What's included** During this informational and interactive workshop, teachers will: - be introduced to several new lessons and gain access to all plans and materials. - spend time exploring the classroom activities, engaging in student hat moments followed by teacher hat discussion. - become familiar with oysters and the role they play in the NY Harbor ecosystem. - connect with other teachers in the Billion Oyster Project Community.
